Born in Lymington in 1960, a childhood interest in art was put aside for the adventure of a life in the Armed Forces.
Along the years I continued to draw and paint, publishing an illustrated guide to the Windmills of Suffolk in 1997. As my career as a military helicopter pilot neared it's end in 2000, I increasingly looked to the future as a professional artist, initially painting watercolours of coastal and maritime scenes.
In 2007 I was elected to 'Professional' member of the International Society of Marine Painters
Now living in Suffolk, I now paint mainly with oils and at present am engaged in a year long project painting oil paintings of maritime subjects for exhibition in 2009.
